Biography
My law firm aggressively pursues civil and criminal litigation in all of the state and federal courts in Georgia. In civil cases, my firm primarily represents plaintiffs in cases involving catastrophic injuries or wrongful death. We have litigated a variety of tort claims based on medical malpractice, products liability, negligence and intentional torts. We prosecute and defend a wide variety of civil claims on behalf of individuals and small businesses.
I have aggressively defended felony criminal prosecutions in Georgia since 1981. My criminal practice in the federal courts frequently involves multi-defendant conspiracy cases. I have also defended criminal prosecutions in Florida, Alabama, New York, New Jersey, and Tennessee.
A portion of my civil practice is associated with my criminal defense work. For example, I handle § 1983 civil rights claims, expungements, and civil forfeitures related to criminal prosecutions. In my opinion, criminal defense work sets the ground rules for our society’s commitment to equal justice. My primary accomplishment as a criminal defense attorney is my consistent and aggressive advocacy for the interests of each individual client.
I am very proud of results I achieved in specific civil and criminal cases which demonstrate my commitment to equal justice under the law. A few of these cases are summarized in this appropriate section of this profile. However, every case is different, so I look forward to addressing and resolving the new problems that are faced by every new client.
