Matthew Goings

Matthew Goings graduated from the University of Georgia in 2011 where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology and a certificate in New Media Technologies. 

Matthew graduated from Georgia State University College of Law in 2015 where he studied Intellectual Property, ultimately focusing on Copyrights and Trademarks. He also studied healthcare technology and earned the Health Law certificate upon graduating. Matthew earned a spot on the Moot Court Board and competed in the Saul Lefkowitz and Cardozo BMI Moot Court competitions.

Matthew is an avid lover of music. He has been involved in playing music since pre-school, where he started piano lessons. During middle and high school, Matthew sang bass in the men's quartet and played saxophone in marching and concert band. At UGA, he played tenor saxophone in the Georgia Redcoat Marching Band for 4 years. He also became a Brother of the music fraternity Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.

Matthew’s passion and lifelong relationship with music spurred him to volunteer his time with Georgia Lawyers for the Arts, a non-profit organization aimed at providing legal assistance to Georgia artists.

Matthew also loves animals and has volunteered with Atlanta Pet Rescue & Adoption. He and his wife, Ashley recently adopted a Westie, who they named Grady.
