If you where not sentenced under first offender act you would have a felony conviction. Hire a lawyer and have them review your sentence
VOP new misdemeanor charge. What is worst case scenario?

Worst case would be revoking the remainder of his probation and a conviction on new case could result in 12 months ( misdemeanor ) to follow...

You should always keep your PO in the loop. Some require travel permit, but usually not a problem if notified
