Jacquelyn "Jacquie" Thomas is a seasoned civil litigator with a diverse background spanning both large and small law firm environments. Opting to establish her own practice, Jacquie sought to provide her clients with a more direct and flexible approach to legal representation.
Originally from Michigan, Jacquie moved to Tallahassee, Florida, to attend Florida State University in 2006. There, she distinguished herself, graduating summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in 2010. Following a brief hiatus to gain practical experience, Jacquie pursued her legal education at Florida State University College of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude with a juris doctor degree in 2014. During law school, Jacquie exhibited exceptional leadership skills as the editor-in-chief of the FSU Law Review.
Post-graduation, Jacquie served as a judicial law clerk to the Hon. Harvey E. Schlesinger in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida in Jacksonville, Florida. She moved to Atlanta in 2017 and has been practicing civil litigation in Georgia since that time. In 2024, Jacquie and her family moved to Marietta, Georgia.
In her practice, Jacquie represents a diverse clientele, including both individuals to business entities. Her current areas of concentration include commercial litigation, contracts, personal and business torts, family, property, and estate planning.

Great Lawyer, Very Reasonable
I loved working with Jacquie. She helped me with a defamation case and her advice was very valuable. She quickly reached out to discuss the case in detail and provided a strategy. She also handled everything in a very professional and a timely manner. I would definitely work with her again.

Ghosted Me AFTER Engagement Letter
Updated: Spoke to Ms Thomas on 5/17/24. She was sending me a client agreement. I didn't receive it. Texted her on 5/20/24 saying I had not received it. She emailed it and I promptly returned it, a long with relevant documents. Followed up 6/5/24 as I had not heard anything back. She responded 6/6...

Replied last November 19, 2024This is a very misleading review. This person signed an engagement letter and asked me to do some research for her. She did not pay a retainer fee. She checked in with me a couple weeks later, and I told her I had been in trial (not a "bad week."). I sat down the next day to work on her case, spent 30+ minutes reviewing documents she sent me, only to realize everything she had sent me was irrelevant to the question she asked me to research. I asked her to provide the relevant documents, which she did one week later. But shortly after receiving the new documents, I was the victim of fraud and had to turn my focus to that for a few weeks. In the meantime, she sent me two text messages to my personal cell phone asking for a status update. Two text messages - no emails, no phone calls. I am a busy solo practitioner, and I do my absolute best to respond to clients in a timely manner, but sometimes a text will slip through the cracks. My other clients understand this. Anyway, I found this review during a routine check of my profile; she didn't tell me she had done it or that she was finding another lawyer. I didn't even charge her for the documents I reviewed in June.
