OUTCOME: Cyber-bullying of high school student by classmates. Complete defense ruling in binding arbitration. Trial court confirmed arbitration award and entered monetary judgment for an elite private school. Merits of judgment affirmed on appeal.

A $100 million "cyber-bullying" action brought against an elite private high school by a former student and his parents. The family publicized their claims, including an interview broadcast nationally ... on a popular prime-time program. The arbitrator, a retired judge, ruled in favor of the school on all of the claims and issued a six-figure monetary award for it. The trial judge confirmed the arbitration award and entered a monetary judgment in favor of the school. The appellate court affirmed the merits of the judgment. D.C. v.
