The most important thing in the world to me is my children's safety and wellbeing. My case would be a sensitive subject for any parent; Bergstrom & Associates realize that and are just as dedicated to protecting my child. I was worried that I wouldn't find the right representation. I have too ma...ny things going on to be stuck with a jerk for an attorney. Many of the lawyers I had spoken with while searching for representation seem so rude, or gave me the impression that I would simply be just another case for them. After speaking with Marlys I knew that wouldn't be so, and it hasn't been. She's not out just to make a buck, she gets very involved in what's best for her client. Marlys and all members of her firm display the highest level of professionalism and compassion. I view lawyer's differently now. Do to the nature of my case custody, child support, and visitation, plus underlining issues, my emotions would get to me. There were times when I've cried in Marlys presence ,over the phone, or via email and was always met with a hug, and a calming reassuring conversation. Even during conferences when she would see the emotions coming to the surface she would simply touch my hand. A way of saying "don't cry it's okay". I'm not even a crier, but I'm super sensitive when it comes to my children. As all parents should be. I have to be strong for my children and can't break down in front of them, and I don't. Marlys understands that and is strong for me during our conversations. This is the first time that I have ever dealt with the law/court system outside of a speeding ticket and I'm at ease knowing my team(Bergstrom & Associates) are on top of everything. She's knowledgeable and direct. I've told her what was going on,she knows what I want, and what I'm willing to give. There was a time I had to leave negotiations and Marlys was entrusted to makes decisions on my behalf. Negotiations went as we discussed and ended on a good note ,thanks to Marlys. I can't express my appreciation enough for all she has done for me and my family. I thank the lord that Marlys is fighting for me. I would definitely hire Bergstrom & Associates in future legal matters.

Marlys and her staff have been wonderful during the ongoing process of my divorce and custody case. They have been there for me helping me understand and get through this every step of the way. Even after normal office hours and on weekends if I have any problems or major concerns. I would recommend ...her firm to anyone who has the need for her firms family law services, I don't feel like I'm just another case or a check like some law firms I have spoken with made me feel like, they truly care about what is best for not just me but my children. They made sure I was comfortable and usually they have the answers to my questions even before I ask them. In the beginning of this process I was scared because I had no clue what it was going to be like but Marlys eased those fears in my first consultation and made sure I understood both the good and the bad and for that reason I hired her right away.

Going through so many things at once, Marlys has really just taken a burden off of my shoulders. She has been helpful since day 1. She is very professional and knowledgeable. At the same time, she is right there when you need her. I would not want to be going through a divorce without her on my side....

Lawyers tend to have a negative reputation, but Marlys has shown me that is not always the case. She knows what she is doing, and produces results. She is honest and upfront, no beating around the bush, and completely straightforward. She actually cares about her cases and her clients and I find this... to be her most honorable characteristic. She is not just out to make a dollar, she cares about her clients and fights for what is right for them. She stays in constant contact (even during holidays) to keep you informed and proofed her clients with a variety of options regarding their case and gives her opinion, but leaves the choice up to the client and will do what the client wants even if she does not see that it is legally the best move. This just shows how dedicated she is to fighting for her clients, and the care she has for them. I believe she gets emotionally involved in her clients issues and that makes her fight even harder to get the job done. Marlys has been working with me for 3 months on a complicated, VERY complicated child support, custody, and visitation case and has done an excellent job. We still have a lot of motions to file and things to do, but she is on top of things and already has a game plan laid out for what comes in the months ahead. I contacted at least 50 lawyers before I found Marlys, met with many of them for a consultation, but ultimately she is the one we wanted to represent us because after our initial meeting we had confidence in her abilities and felt like she cared about us and the case. Because of the complexity of our case, a lot of the other lawyers we met with didn't want to address all of the issues that needed to be addressed, but Marlys was willing to tackle it all, one step at a time. If you are looking for a lawyer, I can not say enough great things about Marlys. I can tell you that she is completely honest and blunt, and is more focused on her client and winning cases than just seeing it as a way to make money. I never thought I would find a lawyer that I felt comfortable with regarding our case, but out initial instincts after the consultation were right and she has been fighting for us and is continuing to fight for us until we get all the issues in the case resolved. You will not find another lawyer that puts their heart in a case like she does, nor will you find one more honest or dedicated to her clients. She has been a God send for us, and we are thankful for her everyday! She knows what she is doing and how to do it, and I am confident she will give you (other clients) the same attention she gives to us.
