N/AOUTCOME: Case reversed after Motion for New Trial Appeal
Client was wrongly convicted and harshly sentenced in Cherokee County Superior Court case because of a sub-standard performance by his trial attorney. The deficient performance of trial counsel was il ... luminated and exposed in a evidentiary motion for new trial that lasted twice as long as the original jury trial. Expert witness neurologist was obtained and examined substantiating client's significant medical defense. Myself along with co-counsel requested the Court of Appeals reverse the conviction based on ineffective assistance of counsel. The Court of Appeals agreed that trial counsel was deficient and reversed clients conviction.
