Most courts permit written waivers of arraignments. That is probably the case here, but double check with your lawyer.

He should not turn himself into the jail. He should have his lawyer present that evidence in order to get the bench warrant recalled.

That does not make sense. He would be denied a court-appointed lawyer only if he did not meet the financial guidelines or failed to provide...

The only way to get below the 10 year minimum is by agreement between the prosecutor, the defense and the judge.
