Yari Dion Lawson

Yari D. Lawson, founding partner at Lawson Personal Injury Attorneys, has prior prosecutorial and defense experience, such as an Assistant Public Defender for the Macon Judicial Circuit and Assistant District Attorney for Fulton County. He has tried numerous serious felony trials across Georgia and recorded two murder-trial acquittals. His current practice areas include wrongful death, catastrophic injury, and traumatic brain injury litigation. Education and leadership training include the American Association for Justice Leadership Academy, Georgia Young Lawyers Division Leadership Academy, and Leadership Gwinnett. Yari was awarded the Best of Gwinnett and Gwinnett County Chamber of Commerce Minority Business of the Year in 2024. He is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association (Champions), Southern Trial Lawyers Association, Million Dollar Forum, Western Trial Lawyers Association, National Trial Lawyers Top 100, and National Black Trial Lawyers Top 100. He currently serves as a Board member of the Partnership Against Domestic Violence and is the founder of the Yari Lawson Athletic Fund, where he assists underprivileged youth athletes.
