lawyer review

Matt waited till the last minute on his fillings with the court and was never available when I needed to speak with him. He has a small office with one support person. He billed for an over abundance of research time and I found several billing errors. It was always a panic at the last minute and I a...lways found myself adjusting my schedule to meet his demands.

I respectfully disagree with the statements and conclusions within the review and regret that the client feels as posted. We are a small, client-centered, firm committed to providing high quality legal representation for our clients. The research time we spent in the case was necessary given the issues presented and we always timely responded to the clients inquiries. Over the course of lengthy litigation I did file a late response to a certain kind of discovery request; it was the first and only occurrence of its kind attributable to me over roughly eighteen years of practice. We filed a motion to address the late filing, won the motion, and adjusted our billing to address the oversight. Ironically, in addition to successfully dealing with the oversight noted, we prevailed in a motion to compel discovery responses from the client’s adversary in the case, winning an assessment of attorney’s fees against the other side and in favor of the client.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
