Biography
Attorney Trichelle Griggs Simmons was born and raised in the Atlanta area and has been practicing law in Georgia for over 10 years. She was educated in DeKalb County schools before receiving her Undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia. Trichelle Simmons was awarded the Strom Thurmond Scholarship and attended The University of South Carolina School of Law where she was awarded various other scholarships and was a member of the Environmental Law Journal. After law school, Attorney Simmons returned to Atlanta and began her legal career with King & Spalding, LLP. For over five years, she was a Prosecutor and held positions with the City of Atlanta Solicitor’s Office, DeKalb County Solicitor’s Office and the DeKalb County District Attorney’s office. In 2008, she formed the Law Office of Trichelle Griggs Simmons to continue her efforts to be a public servant and help those in need in the community where she grew up. In 2011, Attorney Simmons was appointed as a Judge Pro Hac Vice with the DeKalb County Recorder’s Court.
