To be an attorney is a call to duty - a call to a cause. I have journeyed with my clients through life’s most harrowing storms in search of meaning, truth, and Justice. To be able to correct an injustice is the greatest gift an attorney can do for another person. In order to be able to truly help another human being, you have to take the time to know their story - the betrayal, the ficticious lies, their story of loss and suffering, or what led them to this moment in their life, be it an accident, a mistake, or poor judgment. It is not easy to hold the hand of someone accused of a crime or who has suffered great loss through the fault of others, but it is the first step out the darkness and into the light. My life has become about this pursuit. I stand gladly, honorably, as the sword and the shield for those who honor me with representing them and their families.
I have investigated, prepared, and presented the stories of my clients in courts all over the country to judges and juries through the jury trial system in both state and federal courts. Conducting a jury trial is an art form. In many ways, it is a relief. It many ways, it is a nightmare. The case is won, though, by its preparation, pratice, and execution. Time and time again, the jurors in my trials have rendered verdicts in favor of my clients. And I have been asked to tackle some of the most difficult, complicated, social and medical issue cases that can be brought into a courtroom. It is with patience, dedication, perserverance, and grit that I have had the pleasure of serving others.
I have been a story teller my entire life. Prior to entering law school at 29, I had been acting, writing, and producing creative content in Atlanta. At the same time, I worked as an EMT at Scottish Rite Emergency, now Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, where I assisted the nurses and doctors perform life saving medical techniques for every imaginable injury a child could receive. After getting married at 27, I decided to attend law school and follow in the footsteps of my mother, also an attorney, as I had been around three decades of her practice, watching her help others.
I feel a great responsibility to each client who calls me. I give a considerable amount of free time to anyone seeking knowledge or information about their situation. It is only after you invest in learning everything that you can make the best, most informed decision. I cherish this ideal and give it freely to anyone who calls me.
