Daphne Schelke Withrow

Raised in Marietta, Georgia, Attorney Daphne S. Withrow is also a Registered Nurse. 

More than just a personal injury or medical malpractice attorney; Daphne has decades of real-world experience as a medical professional.

Daphne graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Medical College of Georgia School of Nursing in 1982 and spent several years in clinical practice specializing in women’s health.

She then gained additional experience as a medical sales representative for both distributors and manufacturers like Baxter Healthcare, specializing in products used in transfusion medicine.

Daphne’s a mom, too.

After more than fifteen successful years in sales, she decided to switch gears by becoming a Legal Nurse Consultant Certified (LNCC).  This is a highly skilled and specialized area of nursing that is essential in assisting personal injury and medical malpractice attorneys.  

It also meant less travel. More time at home with the kids!

This was an opportunity for Daphne to use her medical background to help others in an entirely different way.

You could say it left a serious impression!  Daphne enrolled in night classes at John Marshall Law School shortly after, and received her Juris Doctor in 2012 without ever quitting her day job.  She passed the Georgia Bar later that year and began working at a large defense firm in the area of personal injury.

A bit of empty nest syndrome also meant the freedom to relocate!

Daphne and her husband moved to Hilton Head Island in 2013, and she began working for a prestigious law firm in Savannah where she was instrumental in several multi-million dollar settlements.  Wanting to live, work and contribute more to the Hilton Head community, she took the South Carolina Bar before joining our team at West Olivetti.
