I've been an attorney South Carolina attorney since 1995, but I grew up working in my family's businesses and started two businesses before I turned 23. I've also owned and operated businesses during breaks from practicing law. Business has always excited me and I love everything about it – especially the startup phase.

After having served as general counsel for companies for the past few years and analyzing various alternative legal service models popping up accross the country (including virtual models), I set out to start a law company that would serve businesses and attorneys better.

Concision’s business model leverages client-focused technology, mobility, extremely low overhead, alternative fee structure, legal intelligence, and real-world business experience to work with companies in a whole new way.  With a small team of attorney and non-attorney advisors, Concision provides legal and strategic business services to privately held businesses. 

Each advisor has a minimum of 20 years’ business experience across several industries in such roles as owner, officer, director or general counsel.  Extremely low overhead makes it possible for Concision to offer below-market, fixed fees, monthly subscriptions and package pricing.  Low hourly rates are utilized only necessary or client-requested, and are tracked in real time through an online client portal for complete transparency.

We don' think of Concision as a "law firm".  We offer more to businesses than law firms can, because Concision’s advisors have real-world business experience outside the law firm environment, which gives us a different point of view from a law firm lawyer.  Some of the services Concision offers include regulatory compliance, employment law assessments, strategic planning, startup coaching, business transactions and the “Concision Counsel” program, which allows businesses to utilize an experienced in-house attorney on a part-time or per-project basis, at a much lower rate than outside counsel.
