Joel D. Bieber

   Joel Bieber was born in Muncy, Pennsylvania. One grandfather was a farmer; the other a minister. His father is an educator/minister and his mother is a hospital lab technician/ artist. When asked how his upbringing influenced him, he almost always responds, “I know how to milk a cow; am comfortable in church, a barn or a hospital; and have no ability to paint.” 

       As a young man, he attended Old Dominion University where he graduated with a B.A. in Political Science before attending Oklahoma City University Law School and graduating with his Juris Doctor in 1986. Attorney Bieber has an extensive list of experience; as a Congressional Legislative Aide for former Congressman William G. Whitehurst, as a Virginia Legislative Aide for former Delegate Melvin Spence, as the founding member of the North American Brain Injury Society, and as a long-time member of both the Virginia and South Carolina State Bars. He has been recognized in many forums; as a Diplomat of Trial Advocacy by the National College of Trial Advocacy, as a top 100 Virginia Trial Lawyer by the American Trial Lawyers Association, as a top 100 Litigation Lawyer in the State of Virginia by the American Society of Legal Advocates, as one of the 10 Best Attorneys in Virginia by the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys, as Best Attorney in America by Rue Ratings and as AIOPIA’s  10 Best in Virginia for Client Satisfaction.

       Joel finds enjoyment in a wide variety of things; reading, the Indianapolis Colts, the Baltimore Orioles, the Washington Wizards, maxing out his Fitbit, and spending time with family and friends. He is also a strong and passionate supporter of many charitable organizations such as the National Kidney Foundation, the United Network for Organ Sharing, CARITAS, LifeNet, Second Baptist Church Building Fund, Team Excel Excellence, and the Brain Injury Association of Virginia. He prides himself on being an information sponge and surrounding himself with positive people.
