David E. Wells

Family law attorney David Wells may have been born in Atlanta, Georgia, but the Wells family is firmly rooted in the great Palmetto state. David makes his home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

After attending Camden Military Academy (Camden, SC), and Lyman Ward Military Academy (Camp Hill, AL), David attended Valdosta State University where he studied philosophy, applied ethics, and criminal justice.

David’s life-long dream was to become an attorney. He attended and graduated from the Thomas M. Cooley School of Law (Michigan). During this time, David interned for the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office in Horry County, South Carolina.

Upon being admitted to the South Carolina bar, David worked with Coastal Law Firm, LLC, before launching Wells Law Firm, P.C. Throughout his legal career, David has worked primarily in family law, handling a full range of cases including divorce, custody, child support, visitation, asset allocation, alimony disputes, adoptions, paternity, name change, and the like. In addition, David has handled a number of relocation cases.

David is also a graduate of the Houston Family Law Trial Institute conducted yearly at the South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas, by some of the country’s top marital litigation experts.

David has successfully completed the South Carolina Circuit and Family Court Arbitrator Certification Training, the South Carolina Family Court Mediation Certification Training, and the South Carolina Family Court Guardian ad Litem Training.
