Biography
A native of Conway, Kathryn Harper Sligh is the former chair of the University of South Carolina School of Law Honor Council, and received her law degree from USC in 2008. She served as managing editor of the Southeastern Environmental Law Journal, and was awarded the Bronze Compleat Lawyer Award in 2008, the same year she joined Singleton, Burroughs & Young.
She was admitted to the South Carolina Bar and the Horry County Bar in 2008. She is a former member of the Juvenile Justice Clinic and served as a guardian ad litem for family court. She and her husband live in the Conway area and are members of Union United Methodist Church, where they serve as youth advisors. She is also a member of the Peter Horry Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and is a member of the Pilot Club of Conway.
