also known as Greg Ammons, Gregory Ammons
Gregory D. Ammons is a true South Carolinian, born in Myrtle Beach, raised primarily in the Upstate, and currently residing in the Midlands. As the son of Methodist preacher, “Greg” moved throughout the State of South Carolina, building relationships and establishing deep roots at each location. In 1992, Greg enrolled as a student at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC, and he has made Columbia his home since that time.
After college, Mr. Ammons worked in sales and service for a few small companies, gaining extensive knowledge related to business, banking and construction. In 2002, he started a home technology company that enjoyed much success for the better part of a decade, ranking nationally in sales for the custom home electronics industry. As the housing market and economy collapsed in the late 2000’s, Greg took the opportunity to pursue his long held goal of attending law school.
Mr. Ammons received his Juris Doctorate from Charlotte School of Law. As an older student, he was able to draw on his wealth of life experiences and relate them to the practice of law. In his practice, Greg has continued to be influenced by his past experiences that have allowed him to connect with many people and places throughout South Carolina.
A devoted family man, Greg enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Kerrie, and their daughters, Hannah Kate and Lilly. They are committed members of Trenholm Road United Methodist Church, avid Gamecock fans, and beach fanatics. Mr. Ammons is also an accomplished vocalist and active member of the church choir. In the community, he has participated in the Colla Voce Ensemble, the Columbia Choral Society, and the University Concert Choir and has performed the National Anthem and Alma Mater for many University of South Carolina athletic events and official ceremonies.
