Biography
Chris Nickels is a member of Clawson and Staubes, LLC. Clawson and Staubes practices in a wide variety of areas including civil litigation, workers’ compensation, commercial law, bankruptcy, corporate law, tax, estate planning, real estate, and alternative dispute resolution.
Chris helps clients with business disputes, injury claims and insurance matters. Chris tries several cases each year, appearing in State and Federal courts representing individuals, businesses large & small, employers, self-insureds and insurance carriers.
In November 2011 Chris was elected to Mount Pleasant Town Council. He chairs Mount Pleasant’s Public Services Committee and serves on the Annexation, Human Resource, and the Police, Legal & Judicial Committees of Council. Additionally, he is a leadership Charleston graduate and is a member of both the Mount Pleasant Business Association and Danial Island Business Association
Nickels earned a BS degree in Finance & Economics. Thereafter, he attended law school and earned his Juris Doctorate with Honors.
Chris and his wife, Kimarie, have three children, a rescue dog (Ripley) and a rescue cat (Pancake). Kimarie is a Registered Nurse at the East Cooper Regional Medical Center. Their son Eric is a student at the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Laura graduated with a DMD from MUSC. Their youngest, Katherine, is in her second year of Clemson University’s BSN program.
All, including the pets, enjoy the outdoors, working out at the health club, and Chicago style deep-dish pizza–”Lou Malnati’s” to be specific.
