Bart Jackson Stegall

I am Bart J. Stegall, founder of Stegall Law in Summerville, South Carolina. I represent clients in Summerville and throughout Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester counties, with a focus on criminal defense, DUI, and traffic matters. My practice also includes personal injury, civil litigation, probate, estate planning, and land use and zoning.

Before opening Stegall Law, I served as an Assistant Solicitor and Assistant County Attorney for Berkeley County. My experience as a prosecutor informs how I evaluate criminal evidence, identify potential defenses, and prepare for trial. My county government work provides a practical foundation for handling civil disputes and land use matters.

I am a graduate of The Citadel and Charleston School of Law, and I serve as a Judge Advocate in the South Carolina National Guard. My military and public service experience shapes my commitment to preparation, accountability, and clear communication.
