Peter Gerard McGrath

Attorney McGrath has been practicing law since 1988 and is a former Assistant U.S. Attorney with the United States Department of Justice in Washington D.C.  He concentrates his practice in the areas of injury law, medical malpractice, family law, environmental law, real estate law, and complex litigation matters.

As the founding member of McGrath Law Firm, Attorney McGrath combines a unique and expansive background of litigation experience, both from the prosecutorial side and from the private sector.

During his tenure at the Justice Department, Attorney McGrath served as the lead prosecutor for the government in several major federal cases throughout the country, handled numerous jury trials, and directed various complex investigations.

Attorney McGrath received a master’s degree in environmental law (MSL), magna cum laude, and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Vermont Law School, and was a note editor of the Vermont Law Review. He is admitted to practice law in South Carolina, the State of New Hampshire, the United States Supreme Court, the United States Federal Tax Court, and the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire. Attorney McGrath serves as a Member of the American Bar Association.  He is the former Chairman of the Environmental Law Committee of the NH Bar Association and a former Vice President of the Capital City Rotary Club.

Attorney has served as a speaker for many seminars on environmental law, real estate issues, and the rights of landlords and tenants.

Attorney McGrath resides in Mount Pleasant with his wife, three boys and two dogs.  He enjoys boating, coaching, sports, and the outdoors.
