I had never had a legal problem in my life. All of a sudden, one day I wake up to find that my bank account had been garnished for unpaid taxes! I was embarrassed and bewildered. I normally do not post reviews, but thanks to Ms. Blum's expert assistance I was able to find my way out of a catastro...phic financial disaster. Ms. Blum traced the problem back to my accountant who had all of my tax information going to his home and had never talked to me about a payment plan! I was extremely angry and felt betrayed by my accountant, but throughout the entire process she was very easy to talk to and nonjudgemental. She found out that many years of my state tax returns had not been filed (even though the Federal forms had been filed). I signed forms making her my power of attorney for tax matters and although it took her several weeks to untangle the mess, she helped me figure out what needed to be filed and how to go about filing the back tax forms. She helped me work out a payment plan with the state and IRS that I could afford... and politely suggested a new accountant. Once I have finished paying off my back taxes, she is going to file for an abatement of penalties based on my former accountant's fraud. I feel compelled to mention that she did all of this on a flat rate instead of billing me hourly which I appreciated! I sincerely hope I never need an attorney again but if I did, I would trust Ms. Blum to deal with it. She was very good about communicating the process to me and informing me about steps I could take against the accountant because of his behavior. I'm very grateful for her assistance and would highly recommend her to anyone searching for legal help.
