Edgar Mason West

Mason began his career at the 9th Judicial Circuit Solicitor’s Office as a prosecutor for Berkeley County. During his career as a prosecutor, Mason prosecuted hundreds of cases including Murders, Assaults, Armed Robberies, Burglaries, DUI’s, Felony DUI, Drug Cases, and Property Crimes. While in private practice, he has concentrated on helping injured victims in car accidents, work accidents, and criminal defendants. Before becoming a prosecutor, Mason earned his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law. During law school, Mason worked at Nelson, Mullins, Riley, & Scarborough, LLP as well as Lewis & Babcock, LLP in Columbia, SC. Prior to law school, Mason double majored at the University of South Carolina in the Darla Moore School of Business with degrees in Finance and Business Management, as well as a minor in Political Science. Mason earned high honors during his tenure at the University of South Carolina, graduating Magna Cum Laude. While taking a full course load at the University of South Carolina, Mason worked as a Page in the South Carolina State Senate and later worked at Lewis & Babcock, LLP. Also, Mason interned in the United States Senate on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C..
