The South Carolina Supreme Court reversed the court of appeals to uphold a trial court decision in a lawyer malpractice action. The Supreme Court held “an attorney is liable for negligence in tasks h ... e chooses to delegate absent an express limitation of his representation.” In this legal malpractice action, the Supreme Court agreed with the trial court that held the closing attorney liable for failing to ensure his client was provided good and clear title.
