I have practiced law in Charleston, South Carolina since my graduation from the University of Tennessee School of Law in 2003. I was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, and graduated from Clemson University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Financial Management. I was admitted to practice in state and federal courts in South Carolina in November of 2003. I currently reside in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina with my wife Lindsay and our three sons. We are active members of Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church.
I have practiced law with Rosen, Rosen & Hagood, LLC my entire legal career starting out as an associate in 2003. In 2007, I was promoted to partner/shareholder and in 2010 became an equity member in the firm effective January 1, 2011. I currently serve on the firm's recruiting committee for evaluating and hiring summer law clerks as well as the firm's technology committee.
My practice focuses primarily in the areas of construction litigation, commercial business litigation, condemnation and surety law. I have experience representing private and public owners, architects, contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, and bonding companies. I have represented both Plaintiffs and Defendants in construction litigation matters and commercial business litigation matters. I represent several local governmental entities in various construction litigation matters, property damage claims, easement acquisitions and condemnation matters. I also review and draft lease agreements, easements, ordinances, regulations, construction contracts and engineering contracts for these governmental entities and contractor clients.
I am active in the business and legal community through my participation in the Charleston County Bar Association, South Carolina Bar Association, American Bar Association and American Bar Associations Forum on the Construction Industry. I am a graduate of Leadership Charleston Class of 2007, and a graduate of Leadership South Carolina Class of 2012. I am also involved in various trade organizations including the Charleston Contractors Association and the Carolina Association of General Contractors where I serve on the Supplier Council. I currently serve on the South Carolina Bar Fee Dispute Resolution Committee and also serve as a mentor for a Charleston School of Law student through the Charleston County Bar Associations Mentor program. I also volunteer my time as a coach through the Mount Pleasant Recreation Department.
