I was left in the dark

When I initially spoke to Mr. Lane, I was impressed by his assessment of my legal situation. I was impressed by his confidence in his ability to negotiate the terms of my separation agreement. When he called me and presented a proposed agreement, I was initially excited that the matter had been resol...ved so quickly. I asked him to email me the details. Upon review, it became clear that the agreement gave my wife everything she asked for without protecting my parental or financial rights. I emailed Mr. Lane regarding my concerns and explained to him what I wanted to see in the agreement. Mr. Lane was argumentative regarding what I saw as reasonable requests. For example, I asked that opposing counsel provide transparent and complete financial records prior to an agreement regarding child support. The records Mr. Lane sent to me omitted material facts. I was surprised that Mr. Lane would give credence to those records as they were clearly evasive and counterproductive to the objective at hand. In at least two email correspondences, when I asked Mr. Lane to pursue a course other than the one he wanted me to take, he didn't reply to my request. When I asked Mr. Lane specific questions regarding my case, his answers were generic and evasive. After I explicitly informed Mr. Lane of points in the agreement that I was unwilling to negotiate on, rather than address my concerns, Mr. Lane simply continued to raise non negotiable points. I took off work to attend court on the date specified. When I didn't hear from Mr. Lane I called his office and was informed that we had reached an agreement with opposing counsel. I was unsettled for two reasons. The first was that I had not agreed to any of the terms presented to me. The second was that no one from Mr. Lane's office informed me that I would not be required to show up for court. When I emailed Mr. Lane regarding the disconnect in our communication and informed him that I would need to obtain new counsel, he didn't call me. He emailed me what seemed to be a perfunctory response to general concerns. Despite all of our email correspondence and the multiple concerns I had, Mr. Lane only called me once. I asked Mr. Lane for a final accounting of my charges ( I was planning on taking my business elsewhere, of course). Mr. Lane didn't send in the information I requested, but instead beat me to the punch and informed me that he would be ending our client-attorney relationship. Overall, Mr. Lane seemed to lack a vested interest in my case. He seemed disconnected from my concerns. He seemed to lack an effective strategy for getting the results he initially promised. He didn't provide me with any insight that was specific to my case. In general, I felt left in the dark. I was left with the general impression that I had to push him to do his due diligence. I had the impression that he wasn't comfortable with being held accountable. I cannot recommend Mr. Lane as an attorney.

Impeccable Attorney

Ryan is a true professional in every sense of the word. I went to him with a very complex divorce case that also involved a completely false criminal charge. He did everything in his power to not only get me away from a vindictive spouse, but also recommended a personal friend to address my legal i...ssues. If you need an attorney who will always have your back, and is an absolute, relentless beast in the courtroom, you need Ryan Lane. Highly recommend!!!

An outstanding attorney that is a credit to his profession

Was introduced to Ryan by a lender when closing a real estate closing over 15 years ago. Ryan took his time explaining the HUD statement and answered all of my questions and was compassionate knowing I understood all of the details. He has since represented and closed several other investment prope...rty purchases. In addition, I have use Ryan to represent all of my Landlord Tenant actions and other legal affairs. He is very approachable and always a professional. The legal matters Ryan has represented my affairs, he has always been successful. If the legal action required a court appearance, Ryan is an excellent representative that always has my best interest at heart. I am amazed at his preparation prior to court and how he represents himself to defend our case. He is extremely knowledgeable and to remain on top of his profession, Ryan is the only attorney I've known that continues his education by attending education seminars and classes to remain a head of other attorneys that have become complacent. Also, Ryan has networked with other professionals to resolve any issue to always be successful and professionally represent me. He is my go to attorney! I would without any doubt recommend Ryan to my friends or anyone searching for a professional attorney.

Do not hire Ryan Lane.

I hired Ryan Lane for custody. He failed me miserably many times. He would miss appointments, show up at last minute for court appearances completely unprepared. Failed to talk to any of my witnesses prior to trial, therefore he was not prepared to question them properly. Signed incorrect court order...s, advised me poorly. Advised me not to show up for a hearing and after showing up anyway I found out that the hearing wasn't cancelled and he was there. He caused my case to be closed amd I had to start all over. If you go to his office you will observe total chaos as he takes anyone that walks through his door, and will push you aside to obtain new clientele. I am stuck in a mess and because of his failures I have no recourse but to live with the courts decisions. He is cheap in price...but you get what you pay for!! Search for a better lawyer and whatever the charge it's worth it.

Out Standing, Quality Lawyer

I was a witness in a case, where Mr. Lane represented a defendant, I knew. I found him to be professional, organized and a true credit to his profession. Mr. Lane is to be commended in handling of a very hostile plaintiff who screamed, yelled and kept going back to charges that the Judge dismisse...d. Mr, Lane had more grace under pressure than other lawyers that I have dealt with in the past. If I ever find myself in need of a lawyer, I will run not walk to his firm and know that my case will be handled with the utmost professionalism and quality that anyone could ask for.
