I had a Probate case in which property purchased by my mother initially, then transferred to my stepfather upon her death, with the understanding that at his death, it would be returned to me. This was a statement written at the time of TRANSFER DIY,, stating it was to be considered as a trust or cod...icil. However no original will was ever presented, but the letter met the requirements of a will. His children whom had never lived there( I was there 30yrs) n whom he also stated didn't want anything from there, certainly tried to evict me and take ownership.
