A trial lawyer admitted to practice in State and Federal Courts since 1974, I served as a full-time State prosecutor from 1983 to 1998. I handle auto accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, and other personal injury cases involving serious injury or death. I also handle all types of insurance claims and lawsuits against insurance companies for personal injury, fire loss, failure to pay benefits, and other claims.

Former Solicitor (elected prosecutor) for Sumter, Clarendon, Lee, and Williamsburg Counties. In private practice since 1998 handling criminal defense cases in State and Federal Courts. Drug Cases, Murder, Burglary, Fraud, White-Collar, DUI, and Traffic Tickets. General criminal practice for State charges primarily in Sumter, Lee, and Clarendon Counties, and Federal charges primarily in Columbia and Florence.

I handle probate proceeding primarily as a part of litigating a personal injury case where the victim has been killed as a result of someone's negligence. In those cases, the Estate is made the plaintiff in the lawsuit. I also help some families with a normal probate administration after a loved-one has died.

I handle workers compensation cases when there is an on-the-job injury that also involves third party liability due to a motor vehicle accident, a defective product, or other reason. In the standard workers compensation case, with no third party liability, I generally associate another attorney to become lead counsel.
