William M. Connor V

Bill Connor received his Bachelor's of Arts from The Citadel in 1990. After serving over ten years as an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army he received his Juris Doctorate from University of South Carolina in 2005.

Bill has practiced law for the past five years and is currently a partner with Horger and Connor, LLC. He is a trial lawyer who spent the first few years of his career handling civil defense cases, but now conducts a general practice.

He is a member of the South Carolina and Federal Bars. Bill was recently a candidate for Lt. Governor of South Carolina, making the runoff election in the Republican Primary.  He has a wife of 20 years who practices medicine in Orangeburg SC.  They have three children, Peyton, Brenna, and Will.  Bill serves as board chairman for Orangeburg Christian Academy"

In Afghanistan Bill was promoted to take command of the US advisory effort in the volatile province of Helmand. Shortly after arrival in Helmand, he was promoted in rank from Major to Lt. Colonel. In addition to command of US advisory teams, he was the senior American working with the United Kingdom senior staff. Upon return from Afghanistan, he published the book “Articles from War,”a memoir of his experiences and thoughts in Afghanistan.
