In this AAA Arbitration Proceeding, I represented a general contractor who had performed substantial work for an owner-developer in San Diego County. The owner ordered a cessation of work, and breache ... d the contract, as found by the AAA Arbitrator (Stephen Backus). My client recovered all monies owed on the project, as well as his attorney's fees and costs. The owner/developer eventually settled before judgment confirming the arbitration award was settled in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Dispute involving dissolution of real estate partnership/joint venture between two co-habiting domestic partners. Took over litigation after 3 1/2 years of unsuccessful work by prior counsel that resu ... lted in summary judgment entered against my client in both state court and federal bankruptcy court. After 18 months of extensive further litigation, prior adverse decisions were reversed, substantial superior court trial proceedings were held, and the state court entered judgment providing for a fairly equitable distribution of the substantial partnership/joint venture assets. A long and difficult battle involving challenges from all sides.
