Among his cases, Doug represented the City of Ackworth, GA, in an action filed against Cobb County over the county's attempt to purchase the city's water system. In addition to the money at stake, the city's residents could have ended up with no water and sewer. The county's original $250,000 offer was rebuffed, and the final settlement was more than $3 million, with a new agreement drawn up for county residents to obtain water and sewer permits.

Doug has served as lead counsel in a variety of suits, including federal lawsuits and antitrust cases with millions of dollars at stake.
