Civil litigation includes a variety of legal disputes. Disputes over contracts, business disagreements, accidents and personal injury claims, problems with insurance companies and real estate questions are just some of the matters that can wind up being the subject of law suits. Whether you are the plaintiff or the defendant, it is important to have the right person protecting your rights in any civil litigation.
Prompt investigation is the first step in protecting our clients’ interests when they have been injured as the result of someone’s negligence. We have years of experience in investigating serious personal injury claims, negotiating on our clients’ behalf with insurance companies and vigorously representing our clients at trial.
I represent businesses in a variety of situations, including business disputes and litigation, formation of LLCs, Corporations and Partnerships, purchase and sale of businesses, contracts, leases and other agreements and in connection with covenants not to compete and trade secret agreements.
A significant portion of my business representation is the result of referrals from in-house counsel and other law firms in North Carolina and other states.
For more than 20 years I represented both insurance companies and individuals and businesses with insurance claims before deciding to no longer represent insurance companies. I know how insurance companies evaluate and defend claims and can use this knowledge to help clients negotiate their claim and take it to trial if negotiations are not successful.
