Russell R. Bowling

Russell R. Bowling is a Board Certified Specialist in Social Security Disability Law. He is a sustaining member of the National Organization of the Social Security Claimants’ Representatives, and also a member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, the North Carolina Bar Association (Real Property Law, Elder & Special Needs Law, and Estate Planning & Fiduciary Law Sections), the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and Elder has been serving the community of Franklin, NC and neighbors across the western mountains of our state for decades.

He is the past President of the Franklin Area Chamber of Commerce (1984), and a past member of the Town of Franklin ABC Board and the Macon County Board of Elections and has served as a member of the Board of Directors for Macon Program for Progress and the Community Care Clinic of Franklin.

Education
Russell graduated from Wake Forest University in 1976 with a double major in Politics and German. While in college, Russell studied abroad in 1974, during the fall semester, at the University of Salzburg in Salzburg, Austria. Russell graduated from Wake Forest University Law School in 1979. After graduating from Law School, Russell and Rebecca made their home in Franklin.
