Hire this woman yesterday!

Andrea was the second lawyer I hired to handle my divorce/custody agreement. My exhusband spent 2.5 years bullying and lying to me in regards to our child and a custody agreement, and my previous lawyer only made the situation worse by sending proposals without approval and missing court dates. My ti...me with my child was completely at the whims of my ex, and he used the threat of withholding her whenever possible. I felt exhausted and like I was losing hope when I finally had enough and decided to hire another attorney. Andrea was professional and pragmatic during our consultation, and did a great job of identifying weaknesses and strengths in my case. After I hired her, she moved quickly to gather and organize evidence that my previous attorney had ignored (so much evidence) to support our case and to move the process along, despite the other side trying to stonewall and delay as their primary tactic. She was aggressive, smart and organized, and although I walked into her office for the first time tired and hopeless, I walked out for the last time with everything I wanted. Everything. She walked into a case where she began at a disadvantage due to the utter incompetence of another attorney and absolutely dominated it. I cannot say this enough- Andrea Fink is Worth. Every. Penny. I only regret wasting the money, stress and heartache of not hiring her first. Her rates are also was incredibly reasonable, considering the amount of work she did for me. She checked with me each time she was going to take an action to make sure I felt comfortable with the expense and went above and beyond to work quickly, efficiently, and manage her time (therefore my money). The peace of mind and confidence that she brought to the worst 2.5 years of my life is utterly priceless. And the agreement that she authored is so comprehensive and thoughtful that despite being in place for only a couple of months, it has already saved me a world of frustration. It is so clear, detailed and well written that despite his attempts to defy the order, it has been a snap to remain calm and in control of the situation. For the first time since the entire process started my rights are outlined to us both and PROTECTED.

Review from a guys perspective

I was blindsided with an enormous debt my ex-wife hit me with unexpectedly. Living in a different state and facing back child support she claimed I owed left me with few options. All I had to go on in finding representation was the internet and reviews. As a guy I felt vulnerable and with little hope... in finding someone whom I could trust. My exwife and I had signed an agreement with our divorce but apparently that can be ammended. Andrea never made me feel second class or a bother with my questions and I felt she truely believed me. She responded quickly to my emails and calls and kept me informed along the way...at a reasonable rate. Highly recommend. BTW I think this is the first (or one of very few) reviews I've ever written.

Mediation/Divorce

Let me start off by saying, I would fight a Bengal tiger for this woman Last summer, my wife of over a decade announced that she was moving out with our two young kids. Ultimately moving towards a divorce. I had no experience with such matters, nor anyone in my inner-circle. I contacted a buddy of... mine who is a lawyer. He said to call the firm Andrea was working at. After my consultation visit at this firm, I was teamed up with Andrea. I am so thankful for this particular day. Andrea has a wonderful personality, but she has a no-nonsense side to her. When she asks a question, she wants details. This woman is incredible with organization and details. I also made it clear that we would not stoop to mudslinging and childish games with my wife and her Counsel. Early on I mentioned that I wanted us to conduct ourselves in the highest level of professionalism. Andrea went above and beyond as a professional, but when a few events occurred that got my emotions up, she would remind me of my goal to be professional. I loved this about her. She made I a point to represent me in more ways that just legal matters. She knew deep down I wanted to handle this in a dignified way. Mediation/divorce is a terribly emotional time and you need that advocate in your corner saying “Relax, I’ve got your back.” It took a couple months to get a date lined up for mediation. All that time waiting, Andrea allowed me the grace to ask questions and pick her brain. She never lost patience with me. On the day of mediation, I was for sure I would be tense and defensive. But Andrea’s “cool presence” removed any such worries. She was wonderful that day. Pure magic. It is my understanding that most of the focus on Separation Agreements is on the obvious items (personal property, alimony, child support, retirement accounts…) but months later I am still seeing the things Andrea thought of well in advance. The smallest details that seemed irrelevant at mediation have turned out to be brilliant. The general thought for men regarding mediation/divorce is that you have little hope. The legal system will “always” side with the female and you’re going to have a humble start to your life again. I am proof that is not the case. This woman, Andrea Fink, defended me in the highest standards. She listened to my story and understood my position. She was able to see the big picture and she fought for what was right. Not merely what I wanted, but what was right. Today, I am a man of peace. Yes, because of impending divorce, there are certain goals and dreams that I am going to have to let go. But internally, I have contentment and joy. God used this woman in a mighty way. I am so thankful for her.
