Scott has been my attorney since 2011. He's handled my divorce and ongoing child custody case. Because of Scott's knowledge and ability to diffuse highly volatile situations with my ex-spouse, I could stay calm and make the right decisions. In working with Scott over the years I have realized, that h...ad I hired him to handle my divorce originally, I wouldn't still be having all these issues years later. Undoing a bad divorce agreement, while possible, is a pain. His approach to what is best long-term is unlike most attorneys who only look at short-term solutions. He's also taken care of numerous business issues for my company and has been a voice of reason that I can rely on and trust. Highly recommend.

I contacted Mr. Matthews on April 18th, 2019 re: my ex-husband's pension benefits. I paid him $200.00 consultation fee. After that, I called his office every week or so and was strung along with words to the effect, "He has to make a phone call." Or, "He has to check here or there," etc. etc. etc. ... Finally, after two months, I sent him an e-mail requesting a time-line on when this issue could be resolved. Today (one day later) I receive a call from his office telling me that my case is too time-consuming and he didn't have time for it but he could recommend a couple of other lawyers. I requested my consulting fee back considering I wasted two months time that may make a difference with my receiving benefits as promised in my Domestic Order. I am told he usually doesn't refund consultating fees. I am livid, disgusted, and think he is one piece of work.
