When me and my ex wife separated, she moved back to Wilmington and kept my daughter from me for 6 months. I was a wreck. I came to court and stumbled into Mr. Hicks. Thank God I did! He did more than I expected and I got to see my daughter THAT DAY! If you have a custody issue, don't trust just anyon...e. It's your family, hire someone you can trust to do everything possible to make your life better.

DO NOT USE THIS ATTORNEY!!!!! He fails at getting anything started and finished! He is neglectful of his clients. He will not start your case on time, he will not keep you informed and he will not return your calls. I paid his retainer fee in January and it is now almost the end of April and Mr. Hick...s has not even so much as filed my paperwork for my case to begin...now I run the risk of losing my daughter after school is let out for the summer. I have asked for a refund of the money paid to him, and of course, have not heard anything from him and have not received a refund. Imagine that! I also requested the paperwork I provided to him to help with my case (because he doesn't have a paralegal). I expressed from the very beginning that this was a time sensitive case!!!! Yet, he has taken his sweet time doing anything, which has turned out to be nothing. I also reported him to the NC State Bar. PLEASE!!!! If you know what is good for you...DO NOT retain this attorney!!!!
