I began practice as a prosecutor and I have handled everything from speeding tickets to capital murder cases. I generally limit my practice to Moore, Montgomery and Randolph counties, but will take murder cases in Lee, Richmond, Hoke and Scotland Counties.

I have prosecuted and defended hundreds of impaired driving cases in district and sometimes superior court. I will pay careful attention to the details of your case from the stop through investigation and arrest and booking. In NC DWI cases, small details often mean the difference between conviction and acquittal or between levels of punishment!

I have represented special operations soldiers, police officers and members of other professions who cannot afford a civil domestic violence protective order being lodged against them - especially when it is baseless and just the opening shot in a divorce and child custody proceeding. I take a particular interest in defending heroes whose willingness to dangerous jobs is suddenly turned on them by an angry significant other.

I work in both delinquency court, helping young people keep their records clean, and in DSS court helping families that suddenly have Social Services involved in every aspect of their lives.
