Roger R. Compton

This gentlemen walked in to my divorce court case after I traveled from overseas deployment....to have my day in court. Without notice or discussion withdrew from the case as my council. Left me standing there to fend for myself. If you are a serviceman....you will not find defense from this attorne...y. Horrible self-serving lawyer!

If all you need is someone to navigate you through the court systems in an uncontested divorce/custody situation, he MIGHT be able to handle that. However, if you need someone to stand up for you, get what you deserve, dispute ridiculous motions thrown at you by the other side, bill correctly, return... phone calls, inform you of court dates and more importantly date CHANGES, he is not the lawyer you need. I showed up to court several times when the date had been changed only to be informed by the opposing lawyer that is had been set for a different date. I was billed for phone calls never made to me and for emails that bounced because THEY spelled the address incorrectly, and then I was billed for the phone call I made to dispute those charges. I attempted SEVERAL TIMES to discuss these disputed fees with Mr. Compton directly but could never get a call back from him. I was left to file a Fee Dispute Resolution with The North Carolina State Bar. He responded that he would waive the disputed fees. I then paid the balance that was not in dispute only to receive a receipt from him office showing a balance due!!!!!! The SAME balance that had been waived. Incompetent staff, incompetent lawyer. STAY AWAY!!!

Roger Compton lost an airtight case!went into court and was for the other side! He didn't fight our case and told us we were not here to make people look bad yet he allowed screwed up excuses for the other side. Roger did not ask the courts to have the other side tested for mental issurs(we offered t...o pay for it). All the evidence we had(DSS reports, police reports, reports from neighbors, school records, no water or heat for a year at times, headlice for over a year, records of our daughter left at rest area for more than 4 hours, hospital records of children having pink eye so bad they had sores the list goes on) I OBTAINED ALL OF THIS MY SELF. Roger did not use ANY of it!!!That man shouldn't be an attorney for ANY law. Because of him we lost custody of the children just for my son to end up being a criminal on the streets less then a year later! During that time I was able to get my daughter back and save her by my self! DO NOT trust roger Compton! He is NOT for you. We suspected he was being paid by other attorneys for them to win their cases!! Almost $10,000 later the children are the ones still being affected by it mentally!! No matter what kind of help we tried getting the kids! Our daughter HATES this man and Judge Keever for not saving them. Judge Elizabeth Keever should have NEVER made a decision solely made by young children!! Shame on her!!! If roger Compton is your opposing attorney count your blessing....you will win even if you are a mass murderer! Oh not to mention we paid out of our butts for child support (at first we were fine with because it was for the kids) to find our he didn't even take off the summer months!! Plus we had to paid EVERYTHING even the opposing sides late fees (over $400). Oh the list goes on and on!!! RUN!! For the sake of your children!!!

I don't have one word good to say about this man. He was referred to me when I hired him I didn't realize until it was way too late in the divorce procedures that he supported the ex and lost all compassion for what his purpose of being a attorney was meant to be. EVERY THING I SHOULD HAVE BEEN E...NTITLED TO BY LAW WAS DENIED BY HIM. BAD LAWYER WHO PLAYS YOU, and helps the other side walk off he only cares about his pockets being filled with my money as he makes it a ongoing career to sabotage destroy my divorce entitlements. Leaving me and my kids lives with a future of THE NOT HAVES, YES ROGER COMPTON FAVORITE WORDS TO ME IS "NOTHING BENEFICIAL FOR YOUR KIDS OR YOU" He didn't care about what lead to the divorce, or the hurt and pain involved, abuse, adultery, children are not important to him. When the ex filed a absolute divorce he didn't fight for our rights, he let the ex have their way. In other words more clearly he helps the ex have their way with what ever the ex wanted ROGER COMPTON found peace and acceptance even when I insisted reversing the out come he refused to help us. Roger Compton is a razor blade divorce attorney who went against me as his client I fired him and although I got zero penny's out of the divorce of nearly 19 years I'd rather not signed the papers at the DISTRIBUTION HEARING because I knew if I had signed the document it would have been worse leaving me in more legal tangles set backs that would be hard to reverse I knew signing a document he wanted me to sign was signing a document with the devil. I am a person, a human being with a pulse and hard beat a mind and I wasn't treated with the dignity nor respect I earned for my time in the marriage meant a lot to me so if I have nothing today out of the marriage its not because I chose not to have nothing NOTHING IS ALL I WAS GIVEN. I don't know how Roger Compton can sleep at night knowing he intentionally destroys lives leaving more scares, over lapping pains, to me he is a object placed here on earth to inflict the opposite of what justice and fairness in a court of law is INTENDED to be. What is justice in a divorce? How will I know what justice is? I can not tell any one my experience of what just is if I never was given a fair opportunity to acquire JUSTICE. I GOT ZERO. Not even CHILD SUPPORT out of Roger Compton.
