Garistine Davis Simmons

Hello, I'm Garistine Simmons, but you can call me "Joy". A fun fact, I was the first child born to Gary and Christine Davis, hence the name "Garistine", and I brought so much joy to their lives, that they decided to call me "Joy". I am a Life and Legacy Planning Lawyer because I'm passionate about helping people plan, build and problem solve so that their lives can be full of "joy" and "peace".

In my practice, I focus on Business Planning, Estate Planning and Medicaid Planning. I help business owners build the foundation and infrastructure of their business by helping them with their business plan and systems, legal systems, and financial and tax systems, so that they can manage and grow their business with confidence. I also help individuals and families create plans that will help them achieve their goals for their loved ones and leave the legacy that they desire.

I earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Accounting from Saint Augustine's College, the Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.), and the Juris Doctor (J.D.) degrees from The Ohio State University and the Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from Saint Thomas University. In addition to the practice of law, I own a franchise, and have worked as legal counsel with the North Carolina Banking Commission, and taught accounting, business law and tax courses at several universities.

Most importantly, I am a daughter, sister, wife, bonus-mom, and friend.
