William R. J. La Ronde

I hired Bill La Ronde back in 2003 to represent me in a divorce case. I paid him a $500 retainer fee. Within two weeks or so he became unresponsive and didn't return calls. I found out that he did not show up to any of his court cases that entire week. I eventually got a hold of his office and wa...s informed that Mr. La Ronde was taking a leave of absence. I inquired as to my $500 and was told to come down to his office. Upon arriving to his office I was greeted by his wife who initially refused to return my money. She then told me that she was going to call the police, to which I was shocked. I ended up writing the Attorney General and I eventually did get my money back, but was informed later on by an outside source that I was one of the only clients to receive any sort of reimbursement. As of today I had thought Mr. La Ronde had perused another career choice. I am very disappointed to hear that he is still practicing law in the state of North Carolina. This was the most unprofessional and bazaar experience I have ever had.
