Excellent Lawyer

Shiela and her entire team, especially her brilliant partner Kristen, did a fabulous job representing me during my legal proceedings. Excellent communication, very professional, billing was very fair and accurate. I had what I considered a fair and equitable outcome. Clients would be wise to rid them...selves of emotion and listen to their wise counsel.

Should have been a social worker

Sheila was excellent about keeping the children first and foremost in my divorce proceedings. However she bended to the opposing party way too easily, shushed me if I disagreed with her offer, gave away large amounts of money at the end of mediation just to be finished and went totally MIA in the fo...llow up to my divorce mediation. Her associate Kristen Shearin is a ding bat. Billing was incorrect multiple times (twice I got someone else's bill) and couldn't even spell my name and address correctly. I can't believe I paid so much money for so much aggravation.

Highly recommend

I highly recommend Sheila Passenant at Passenant & Shearin Law. Concerns I had were put at ease as she explained the law. She was always accessible and responded to my calls and emails in a timely manner. During the hearing, she presented my case with confidence, precision and professionalism.

Thank you so much for everything.

When I contacted Passenant & Shearin Law I was trying to do division of martial property process on my own due to financial issues after a very difficult divorce. It is very difficult to do on your own. I felt awkward about everything I was going through and did not realize how hard it was doing it ...on my own. I contacted the office through email and they immediately respond back to me within 12 hours and started working on the case right away. The ladies did not judge or make me feel uncomfortable about my situation and they was very honest about the whole case from beginning to end. They did not make me feel like I was just a client they made me feel like I was part of the team being available anytime of the day or night. They work so well to together as a team and communicated with each other to the point if I contacted the office all the staff could assist me with any question. They kept me informed with all documentation and contact with the opposing attorney. I felt very secure with their law firm cause they was very knowledgeable about my whole case, being honest and upfront from the beginning gave a sense of comfort. I am very satisfied with all their work, knowledge, with caring attitude and concerns that they all came together as a team and poured into my case. As a person that never thought I would never go through this situation after 23 years of marriage it was a blessing to find and awesome group of ladies that gave their all for the best interest of me.

Would not hire again.

In my opinion, you should go elsewhere. Not only does she disappear for weeks/months at a time, she doesn't return phone calls, doesn't respond to emails, makes promises but doesn't keep them, makes appointments she is either hours late for, changes at the last min, or doesn't bother showing at all, ...her billing is questionable and wrong more than half of the time, doesn't follow court deadlines, etc. This review is just my experience with her.
