Yes, the I-693 completed by a designated civil surgeon is required. Have that done and take it (with the envelope still sealed) to your interview.

TPS in and of itself does not open a path to permanent residency. You would need to qualify through a family or employer petition.

You can try making an InfoPass appointment at your local USCIS office. Some offices will give you the I-551 stamp if you have the receipt notice.
