Awful Attorney

Oh, if I could turn back time, I would have never come to this firm and retained Deb. I only went here because the attorney I used for a previous case who was with Sodoma Law left and started her own firm - so out of convenience, I went with someone at Modern Legal. Deb did not handle my case with c...are, was sloppy and had a very bad "bedside manner" to say the least. She also advised me poorly and gave me wrong information regarding a question I continued asking. She was rude and at a time when I needed someone to advocate for me, I felt she did the opposite. Will never go back or use Deborah again.

Nope nope and nope

Deb represented me 6 years against my ex I by the grace of God never married after he filed for joint custody in response to my ex parte order after he clearly assaulted me. God forbid, I fought back a little and did some things to him I'm not proud of to this day. Deb did a terrible job however addr...essing my stalking concerns while this ordeal was going on. What did Deb do for me? She got me a piece of garbage Rule 65 instead of a 50b and 6 years of hell trying to coparent with a narcissist. Also, I gained plenty of trauma and spent years believing no one will help me or even my son unless someone's lost a limb. She told me no judge on earth would give me full custody because God forbid, I was a year and a half from graduating college, was working second shift and had to move back in with my parents for a while right after this ordeal happened, along with the so called mutual combat. Maybe because our child was 3 at the time? I don't know, I just know to this day my life and that of my son's have misery because my SOB ex got any custody at all. I'm facing yet another legal battle after he assaulted me at child exchange recently in retaliation of me filing a complaint days earlier about him throwing a knife that almost hit our son! My ex has a long history of violence against others and throwing things. Granted my case was not the easiest one but I will certainly say Deb did NOT address many of my concerns. It certainly feels looking back that she essentially treated me like I was just some spiteful ex trying to get back at him for being mean at times. She did certainly say however I was hit rather brutally. Have a same ex you have a clear plan with, or perhaps am overall clear as day case? Deb may be fine. Have a somewhat challenging case, dealing with trauma of being abused, or dealing with a narcissistic ex? Avoid Deb at ALL costs. On another note, I find it awful interesting how within a couple weeks of my case closing she went to another firm when she had been with the firm she was at 6 years ago for several years. It seems she spent some time hopping around multiple firms in the last several years after my case closed. Not sure if that's meaningful at all or just a coincidence but it certainly has me wondering along with everything else if maybe she knows now she did me wrong. Other attorneys people have spoken to about my case years ago said the Rule 65 is garbage. Maybe others knew I was poorly represented. Shame... If I could I'd give Deb zero stars.
