I retained Mr.Schehr July 31 2023 after I was run over by a car and sustained injuries to my legs feet and ankles. I was told by Mr. Schehr this could take anywhere from 3-8 months. We are now on 13.5 months. This is due to the negligence of his team not filing paperwork when it was supposed to be fi...led. The communication with this firm is non-existent. I did not hear from anybody in this office for 3 months in late 2023 after reaching out to them numerous times. In January 2024 I reached out to them simply asking for them to send my file to a pre-settlement firm as I was in desperate need of cash . It took this firm 3 WEEKS to send the pre-settlement firm my case file because they dropped the ball and didn't have all of my medical documents together like they claimed they did. This was back and forth with them the entire 3 weeks. I was calling everyday trying to get them to send it. The pre-settlement firm even called everyday trying to help me out because the need for cash at this point in time was very urgent. February 2024 teddy ( I believe this is his name) in this firms medical records department calls me asking me to sign a form so that they can get my final medical record from my primary. We had already done this back in January when they didn't have it for my pre-settlement request. He then calls me AGAIN in March asking me the same questions as before trying to request the exact same medical records that we had already received in JANUARY and FEBRUARY. We now once again go to them not responding to me whatsoever from early March until May 9th when Michael tells me we are waiting on the final lien from my insurance company. From mid May until Thursday September 12. I was under the assumption that my medical bills were being negotiated for reduction this entire time. Thursday September 12 I receive a call from Arianna the new office manager at this firm. She tells me that the previous office manager Amy Tolley had been let go due to falling very far behind on her cases and that essentially nothing has been done on my case in MONTHS. To make matters even more embarrassing for this firm and stressful for myself Ariana is addressing me as "Mark" and reading off someone else's case details to me even after I corrected her. She somehow had no clue who she was talking to even though she made the phone call. This firm has been sitting on my settlement funds since April 24th when I was told they received the check from the insurance company. They told me 30-70 business days is the normal time to get bills reduced and we are at business day 108 now because of the negligence of this firms employees. This firm also did not pay back my pre settlement funding in a timely manner which has now cost me hundreds of more $ out of my settlement due to interest. They waited from April 24 2024 (when they first received my check) to September 27 2024 to pay that bill back knowing that the interest would cost me more money from my settlement which i still have not received even 11 days after telling this firm to close my case and mail me my check. On September 27th I requested with Michael Schehr to re-negotiate his fee of 33.3% due to his firms costing me more money form my settlement and lying to me on numerous occasions. Mr Schehr said in email that will not be happening due to me leaving a negative review about how his firm has treated me and my children so terribly. Mr.Schehr never gave me the opportunity to weigh my options of having him negotiate reductions on my medical bills or just paying what I legally have to pay and taking the rest. Since he did not give me that option he cost me more money due to pre settlement interest. He also knew the financial situation me and my children are in due to this accident. Having this money back in April would have saved a lot of stress and heartache. He is now trying to get all of my reviews about how his firm treated me and my children removed.
