also known as Paul Ditz
I began practicing law in Shelby, NC in 1997 after graduating from Wake Forest University School of Law in Winston-Salem, NC. I began my career in private practice and spent 12 years with the firm of Flowers, Martin, Moore & Ditz, P.A. where I was a partner focusing on criminal law, civil litigation, and Social Security disability. I left the firm in 2009 to join the Cleveland County District Attorney's Office where I practiced until 2013. In my time as an Assistant District Attorney, I tried serious felony cases including murder, robbery, kidnapping, and assaults. In 2013, I returned to private practice opening my own firm. In 2015, I joined with attorney H. Jamaal Edwards and attorney Lacey Beam to form the firm Ditz Edwards & Beam, PLLC.
During my years of practice, I have focused specifically on Criminal Law, Business Law, Employment Law, Wills and Advanced Directives, and Family Law. My experience in prosecuting cases on behalf of the State of North Carolina has given me immense experience with jury trials and provided me with an inside view of how the State approaches and handles these cases which I can put to work helping my clients charged with serious crimes.
I am a graduate of Wake Forest University School of Law, obtaining my Juris Doctor degree in 1997 and Syracuse University where I was awared a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations in 1993. I live in Kings Mountain, NC with my wife Celena and our daughter Rory.

horrible service
He never called us we had to call him to get answers. we lived hours away and after hiring him to handle the case we still had to drive all the way there for every court date. He sat on a tape for 9 months that would dismiss the case worst lawyer ever do not recommend
I spoke with this client and he was unaware of this and claims it was an ex love interest hacking him. I was able to successfully defend these felony charges, ultimately getting them dismissed in their entirety. The client was actually thankful. This has been reported and hopefully will be removed for violating terms of service.
"Paul Ditz has extensive experience as an Assistant District Attorney, and he is now working for you! He fights in and out of the courtroom for his clients charged with DWIs, felonies, drug charges, and misdemeanors. I practice criminal law in Shelby also, and I see him in court fighting for clients each day. Do not hesitate to retain him for other matters too. His experience will work for you."
"I cannot recall a time when Mr. Ditz and I have worked on a case together but we have worked against each other both on criminal and domestic cases. Mr. Ditz has always been reasonable and professional. His experience as a prosecutor gives him an edge on criminal defense. He is easily accessible and is knowledgeable both in criminal and civil law."
