Anna L. Kegley is a partner of Kegley, Herndon & Burdette, PLLC, better known in the community as KHB Legal Group. She received her juris doctor from Charlotte School of Law in December 2013, and was licensed to practice law in the State of North Carolina in April 2014. In law school, Anna served as a Senior Editor for the Property Law Review Journal, received pro bono honors, and graduated cum laude.
Since becoming licensed, Anna has become familiar with the local courthouse community in Rutherford, North Carolina, and those of nearby counties. Anna considers herself a Rutherford County native, having moved here at the age of 10 from Gaston County, North Carolina. After receiving her Bachelors of Science from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and then graduating from Charlotte School of Law, Anna returned to Rutherford County to be close to her parents and four siblings. Anna is married to Brian Yelton, also a Rutherford County native, and, together, she and her husband have a blended family of four children. Anna has a unique perspective of having once been a family law client herself and understanding the intricacies of problems and balancing of priorities that takes place when a family is torn and rebuilding. Anna believes that active listening is the most important quality that an attorney can possess, that there is never a “one-solution-fits-all”, and that transparency in communications is the key to client satisfaction. She enjoys problem solving on every level and gleaning the priorities of each client to tailor a plan that is not only satisfactory, but practical.
In Anna’s spare time, she enjoys time with her family, cookouts, painting, and binge watching Netflix on those rare occasions she is alone. Anna also enjoys serving on the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council in Rutherford County.
