Joseph Darius Michael Jenkins

Darius Jenkins is an Associate Attorney for Providence Wills and Trusts whose practice focuses on assisting clients through all aspects of estate planning and estate administration matters.

Licensed in both North Carolina (2019) and South Carolina (2020), Darius leans on his practice experience to provide proper counsel to his client’s needs. Education and empathy are cornerstones of Darius’ approach in communicating with clients to form stronger relationships and understanding of the subject matter. Originally, Darius pursued a career in law to practice sport and entertainment law, but found his calling in the areas of wills, trusts, and probate.

Prior to joining Providence Wills and Trusts, Darius served the Mecklenburg County community as a Deputy Clerk for the Estates Division, assisting with a high volume of estate administration matters. In this role, Darius guided members of the community through various estate administration procedures and realized the need for an advocate to teach the importance of estate planning to his fellow Carolinians to avoid the stress and complexity of probate.

Born and raised on the Carolina coast as a Wilmington native, Darius obtained his undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University (2012) and Juris Doctor from Charlotte School of Law (2016). Outside of work, Darius enjoys spending his time with his family, fishing, hunting, and cheering the Carolina Panthers, NC State Wolfpack, and Boston Celtics.
