Stephen Abbott Moore

A native of Concord, Stephen is an associate attorney who joined the firm in 2015.  He offers legal service in the areas of appellate and administrative law, helping to guide clients through the complex appeals process and making sure their needs are best served.  He also works for and supports clients before city councils and local and state boards and agencies.

Stephen is driven by a desire to serve others, seeing his role as an attorney to be that of a problem-solver. He finds it rewarding to help others move efficiently and effectively through the legal process.

"I like to help people solve their problems. Folks often come to us confused about how they got in the legal position they’re in. I enjoy working with them to figure out the next step."

Stephen is the first lawyer in his family.  He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a law degree from UNC’s School of Law and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from UNC’s School of Government in 2014. He is also a member of the NC Bar Association, where he has served on the Newsletter Committee of the Education Section since 2015.

In addition to his work with the NC Bar Association, Stephen is heavily involved with Covenant Presbyterian Church in Charlotte where he serves as the chair of the Young Adults Council. Outside of practicing law and serving his church, Stephen enjoys fishing, camping, and rooting for all things UNC.

Stephen and his wife, Heather, have known each other since childhood, growing up together at First Presbyterian Church of Concord. After graduating high school in Concord, they both attended UNC Chapel Hill.
