Laura Mueller Baker

Attorney Laura M. Baker delivers aggressive, compassionate, and down-to-earth criminal defense with a focus on clear communication so clients fully understand the legal, personal, and financial implications of traffic offenses, misdemeanors, and felonies. Born in La Grange, Texas, she moved to North Carolina in 2004 for law school. A 2002 Emory University graduate with a B.A. in political science and a sociology minor, she earned her J.D. from Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law in 2007, where she held student leadership roles, served on the Honor Court, led her Delta Theta Phi chapter, joined a mock trial team as a second-year student, and was inducted into the Order of Barristers. After obtaining a paralegal certificate from the University of North Texas and working at Fulbright & Jaworski, she practiced in firm settings before founding her own practice in 2018. Laura is licensed in North Carolina, active in state and national trial lawyer organizations, serves on local nonprofit boards, and lives in Concord with her husband Luke and their children, Garrett and Audrey. She has been recognized among the Top 40 Under 40 and the National Trial Lawyers Top 100.
