I cannot thank Laura Baker enough for helping my son with his court case. Back in November 2019, my 19 year old son was having many troubles including mental health issues and drug issues. As a result, my son was charged with a flee to elude the police while speeding. A felony plus about 5-6 other mi...sdemeanor charges. During the wreck, he broke his leg and dislocated his ankle, which has required 2 surgeries. After the first surgery, my son took the necessary steps to get drug treatment and mental health treatment and Laura Baker was able extend his court cases numerous times until he got back on his feet again and stable. Almost a year later and his case is resolved. Let me just say there are no words to fully describe what a miraculous, unbelievable, amazing job this lady did for my son. She was able to see the improvements my son had made since the wreck...that he has been in a drug rehab program and sober living, actively working the program, that he was now taking the correct medications for his mental health....she was able to negotiate a plea deal and the end result was a misdemeanor flee to elude and 2 years of unsupervised probation and no other charges. She was able to negotiate a felony charge to a misdemeanor charge. I am still speechless. But what she was able to do was to give my son a second chance. And without her, I’m sure he would have a felony on his record. We will forever be grateful for her dedication to his case.

The Story: First and foremost, (before she became my attorney), She answered any questions I had about how my situation with limited knowledge to the situation. As it all began with DSS. When approached by detectives, I reached out to her again. She suggested I keep my mouth shut (from what I've learned, this is wise. As ANYTHING can be used to incriminate you. Even if not guilty) I met with her, we talked about the situation, and she said she would handle my Pre-Litigation. (Prior to getting "Charged") Immediately. And that she did! She reached out to the DA, Detective on the case, and more. Relaying important information between them and myself. As part of my DSS case I was to be submitted to a list called the RIL (not good) and in order to fight it, you have to go to court. She spoke to the DSS Attorney's, and prepared me and my family for court. We met a few times to discuss the upcoming hearing, prepare evidence, etc... And the day before, we had a "mock" hearing. So you're familiar with what is about to happen, and what you need to expect. Turns out the day of, she worked her magic so well, we didn't even need to go to court. They dismissed it before the hearing that day. She also made sure to have it marked in my DSS records that the RIL was dismissed and more. I would say the only setback I had was, communication was in short supply. However, between Covid and multiple cases. She's incredibly busy and that needs to be understood. She was 100% prepared for every aspect of this case and I'm proud to have chosen her as an attorney.
